The Good Things Foundation’s Digital Nation 2025 report highlights the ongoing challenge of digital exclusion across the UK and its impact on everyday life.
Key findings include:
• 3.7 million families are below the minimum digital living standard
• 7.9 million people lack basic digital skills
• 21 million adults struggle with essential digital tasks for work
• Only 10% of eligible households are signed up to social tariffs for internet access
The report also shows that digital exclusion disproportionately affects individuals with disabilities, those without formal qualifications, and older adults more frequently.
We hope these findings spark important conversations and inspire action to help bridge the digital divide in communities across the UK.
