Our Board

Our board is made up of our chairman, our CEO, and a director from each of the four mobile network operators with a designated alternate to provide absence cover.

Mova

David Meyer

Chairperson

David Meyer is the chairperson of Mova. David was previously chair of the UK Spectrum Policy Forum and the Ofcom Spectrum Advisory Board.

David has also worked as a consultant, covering cyber and technology issues for public and private sector clients. Until 2010, David was chief information officer at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office.

David previously served in the British Army as a Royal Signals officer from 1978 until 2010, ending his military career as deputy chief information officer in the MOD where he was responsible for reform of MOD’s spectrum policy.

Ben Roome

Ben Roome is Chief Executive of Mova.

Ben is a Chartered Director, a Fellow of the IoD and Member of the IET. In addition to his role at Mova, Ben sits on the Executive Council of the UK’s Digital Connectivity Forum, is a Fellow of St George’s House Society of Leadership Fellows, a member of the UK Spectrum Policy Forum, a STEM Ambassador, and a governor at two state schools. Prior to Mova, Ben held global roles at Nokia and previously Nortel. Ben is graduated in physics from the University of Manchester.

BT

Mark Henry

Mark is Director of Technology and Business strategy at BT.

Mark has been in telecommunications for over 20 years, with diverse roles in Fixed and Mobile with AOL, Orange, Wanadoo, EE and now as part of BT. Mark has played an important part in delivering many strategic projects including Local loop un-bundling, Radio Access Network sharing, Orange T-Mobile integration, Spectrum Auctions, 3G/4G/5G launch and the Emergency Services Network contract for Public safety services over LTE. Mark is currently Director of Technology and Business strategy at BT.

Mark’s designated alternate is Antony Coleman.

Virgin Media O2

Jeanie York

Jeanie York is Virgin Media O2’s Chief Technology Officer.

Jeanie previously held the role of Chief Technology and Information Officer for Virgin Media, prior to this, she spent almost six years at Liberty Global, where she was responsible for network operations across 10 European countries.Jeanie has 22 years’ experience in leading telco and cable business strategy, network planning, engineering, technology development and operations. Jeanie is a member of the Women in Cable Telecommunications (UK chapter) and she is also involved with Child Advocates – Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA).

Jeanie’s designated alternate is James Gill.

Three UK

Lou Parker

Lou is Director of Integration Planning for 3UK.

Lou previously sat on the Board of MBNL, Three’s joint venture organisation with BTEE. Lou has played a key commercial role in the development and execution of numerous strategic initiatives that have helped evolve 3UK into a leading Mobile Network Operator including its journey through both 4G and 5G and its end to end IT, Network and Brand transformation, including, as Managing Director or CK Hutchison Networks UK Ltd, managing the strategic divestment of some of 3UKs tower assets to Cellnex. Lou has held diverse commercial roles in PwC, British Airways, Société Générale, Marks and Spencer and, prior to Three UK, with Telefonica O2.

Lou’s designated alternate is Russell Jeffries.

Vodafone

Andrea Dona

Andrea is Chief Network Officer at Vodafone UK

Andrea joined Vodafone UK as the Head of Networks in March 2019 and has since managed the roll-out of Vodafone UK’s 5G and fibre networks, the company’s converged network strategy, as well as the delivery of the company’s network transformation, rationalisation and digital agenda.In April 2021 he was promoted to Chief Network Officer and joined the UK Board as Network Director. Prior to this, he held a number of senior technology positions, such as Head of Network and Managed Services at Ericsson, and Network Deployment Director at T-Mobile.

Andrea’s designated alternate is Paul Rosbotham.
